Interns are an important part of Team ND. As a student intern, you won’t just observe—you’ll work on projects that matter, alongside teams who rely on your ideas and skills to make a difference.
From shaping policy to preserving history, interns help us empower people, improve lives, and inspire success across North Dakota. Along the way, you’ll gain valuable experience, grow your professional network, and have fun doing meaningful work.
Life as a Team ND Intern
As an intern, you’ll:
- Contribute to real projects with statewide impact
- Apply your classroom learning in a professional setting
- Gain experience that builds your resume and career readiness
- Be welcomed as a valued part of the team
Being able to apply the information that I learned in my Museum Science classes to real life situations during my 6-month Collections Internship was an essential part of my training. The skills and completed projects was able to add to my resume allowed me to be extremely competitive and secure the job positions I wanted by having real world experience. Staff at the State Historical Society of North Dakota treated me as a fellow colleague and allowed me to an active participant in the department.
